Sam Kendrick – Last Irish Veteran of Arnhem Passes

Profoundly sad to inform that our dear friend, Sam Kendrick, WW2 veteran of 1Bn The Parachute Regiment and last known Irish survivor of the Battle of Arnhem died unexpectedly last night in Co Wexford. The President and members express our deepest sympathies to his wife Mary, family and to his many friends both in Ireland and in Holland.

It’s proving a very tough week.

Arrangements:

Reposing in Ryan’s funeral home Wellingtonbridge on Tuesday (12th Oct) from 4pm – 8pm. Removal on Wednesday (13th Oct) to St David’s church Bridgetown for funeral service at 2pm, followed by burial in St Mary’s cemetery Kilmore.
