Christian LINDEMANS, alias Christian BRANT, German codename KING KONG: Dutch. In 1942 and 1943 he was a member of Resistance groups in Rotterdam, Brussels and Paris. In 1944 he was recruited as an agent by the Abwehr, by which time he was working as aliaison officer with the Dutch armed forces. Eventually denounced as a traitor,he was arrested and taken to Camp 020 where he confessed. British concern was whether he had, as has been suggested, betrayed the Arnhem landings. He was handed over to the Dutch authorities but committed suicide in 1946 before he could be brought to trial.
